Taiwan and Ukraine: A New Level of Partnership for Reconstruction and the Future

Cooperation between Taiwan and Ukraine is reaching a qualitatively new level. Taiwan is showing real support for Ukraine — not just in words, but through concrete actions. Humanitarian aid, investments in infrastructure projects, and the development of partnerships in energy, transportation, healthcare, and high-tech sectors are all part of the sincere and systematic support Taiwan is providing in one of the most challenging times for our country.

This June, 20 companies from Lviv will travel to Taiwan as part of a special business mission — the “Rebuild Ukraine Delegation”, organized by the Taipei Trade Center in Kyiv. The goal of the trip is to establish strategic contacts, open new markets, and strengthen economic ties between our countries. Delegation participants will have the opportunity to hold business negotiations with Taiwanese companies and visit key enterprises, institutions, and chambers of commerce and industry.

One of the companies invited to participate is Cover Energy Plus, a representative of the energy sector actively working on creating modern solutions in the field of renewable energy.

Preparations for the mission have already begun. In May, Mr. Hsieh Ho-Kun, Director of the Taipei Trade Center, visited Cover Energy Plus. During the visit, the parties discussed the company’s activities and potential points of cooperation with Taiwanese partners. This dialogue marked an important step toward deeper collaboration and the creation of future projects in the field of green energy.

The “Rebuild Ukraine Delegation” mission is more than just a business trip. It is a symbol of a new, strong partnership based on mutual trust, respect, and a shared desire to build a future where Ukraine is strong, modern, and rebuilt. Taiwan has already proven that it is not just a partner, but a true friend — ready to support the reconstruction of Ukraine on all levels, from humanitarian assistance to innovative solutions.

Energy Independence for Ukrainian Businesses

Why is it important for Ukrainian businesses to switch to alternative energy sources and become energy independent?

In today’s climate of energy instability, high electricity prices, and increasing environmental pressure, it is more important than ever for Ukrainian enterprises to rethink their energy consumption. Transitioning to alternative energy sources is not just a trend — it’s a strategic decision to ensure stable business operations, reduce costs, and maintain competitiveness.

1. Energy independence means business security.

Due to russia’s military aggression, Ukraine’s energy system has been repeatedly targeted, causing power outages. Businesses that have their own energy sources — such as solar panels, wind turbines, or energy storage systems — can continue operating even under crisis conditions.

      2. Reduced electricity costs

In the long run, the cost of energy from renewable sources is significantly lower than that of traditional utility tariffs. By installing a solar power plant or a hybrid system, a company can substantially cut its monthly energy expenses.

      3. Positive image and social responsibility

Today’s consumers and partners value environmental responsibility. Companies that invest in green energy demonstrate their openness to innovation, their care for the environment, and their commitment to the future of coming generations.

      4. Government support and international programs

Ukrainian businesses can access financial support from the government or international institutions when implementing energy-efficient solutions. This makes the transition to alternative energy sources more affordable and beneficial.

      5. Increased business and asset value

Having an independent energy system is not only a cost-saving measure but also a capital investment that boosts the overall value of a business. Companies with energy-independent infrastructure are more highly valued in the market.
